REBUILD WOMEN'S HOPE COOPERATIVE and MOUNTAIN HARVEST
DR Congo Chasi AA / This offering comes from the cooperative REBUILD WOMEN'S HOPE on Idjwi Island, founded in 2013 to fight the inequalities that women in agriculture face. Coffee has long been the island's main source of income, but producers have consistently struggled to sell their coffee. The creation of cooperatives like RWH has completely changed the situation and opened the door to new opportunities for producers on Idjwi Island and the DRC, especially for women.
Uganda Workhorse Washed / Named "The Workhorse Community Lot" by MOUNTAIN HARVEST, who is dedicated to challenging stereotypes surrounding Ugandan coffee. Started in 2017, Mountain Harvest realized that to build greater resiliency of smallholder farmers and the farmlands they love, Mountain Harvest needed to create a new kind of Ugandan coffee business centering farmer engagement and quality coffee.
This exceptional coffee is a result of three years of intensive research to understand why Ugandan coffee fell short of market demands. Through stringent quality analysis and meticulous selection, Mountain Harvest has earned a reputation as the primary source for consistently high-quality farm-washed parchment in Uganda. More than just coffee, this lot symbolizes transformation and resilience; A narrative triumphing over preconceived notions.
